NRNA Medi Health Center

Our History

From Crisis to Care

2021: The Turning Point

The seeds of the NRNA MediHealth Center were sown during the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. As Nepal faced a critical shortage of medical supplies, NRNA NCC USA mobilized its vast network of medical professionals and donors in the United States. Through the “Save Life of Nepali from COVID-19” initiative, we realized that emergency relief was not enough—Nepal needed a sustainable, permanent infrastructure to provide quality care year-round.

Building the Alliance

Recognizing the need for local expertise to match global resources, NRNA NCC USA partnered with the Deurali Foundation. While NRNA brought the support of the diaspora and international medical standards, the Deurali Foundation provided the local knowledge and logistical backbone necessary to navigate the healthcare landscape in Nepal. Together, we moved from sending equipment to building a foundation for permanent health services.

The Vision Takes Shape

Post-pandemic, the focus shifted from “Emergency Response” to “Inclusive Healthcare.” The joint initiative was formalized to establish a state-of-the-art MediHealth Center that could serve as a model for diaspora-led social enterprise. The goal was simple yet ambitious: to create a facility where financial status never dictates the quality of treatment.

Present Day & Beyond

Today, the NRNA MediHealth Center stands as a testament to what the global Nepali community can achieve when united. Supported by thousands of Nepalis living in the USA and beyond, we continue to expand our services—from local clinical care to global telemedicine—ensuring that the bond between the diaspora and the motherland remains healthy and strong.
